Hey everyone! My name is Victoria and I am a recovering Foodaholic. Last week I talked about my experience with starting Thin's In and being down five pounds after just one week.
Well at weigh-in yesterday, I was down three pounds which was great considering how my week was!
My week started off well enough considering I still have the headaches. What no one ever mentions on all of those weight-loss commercials or on those fad diet ads is how much losing weight really is like going through withdrawal but instead of drugs it's from food.
Thursday I encountered my first true barrier - Passover. At Passover (or any holiday for that matter) there is always a lot of food involved and no matter how much you plan and say to yourself "I am sticking to my diet" - things change. Three glasses of wine, two extra proteins and a few unweighed breads later, Passover was completed. Then came the true test of my strength - DESSERT! I took one look at the cinnamon coffee cake and whipped cream and left. Just said my good-byes and went home to bed.
I AM A SUPERHERO!
Well - for those who really know me, know that my family celebrates both Jewish and Christian holidays and what follows Passover? Easter! For once, I am slightly thankful for COVID-19 social distancing because it meant no true Easter dinner. Instead we ordered take out from Texas Roadhouse sans dessert. Shrimp, steak, (non-Thin's In friendly) mashed potatoes and more wine; but no sweets!
After eating and drinking my way through two holidays - I was super excited to have lost more pounds. For anyone out there not sure if they can do it; Thin's In is about eating real food. A glass of wine (or two) in moderation isn't always a bad thing and you can still lose weight when you stay (mostly) legal.
14 days have gone and 7 days left to go to make my 21 day habit! See you all next week!
