Foodaholic's Anonymous - Midweek Note

Hey everyone!

I know today is not my normal posting day and don't worry, I am sticking to the behavior modification of Staying off the Scale.

I just wanted to share a quick accomplishment with you all!

Since I am at back work, I have been using my foodsheet and planning my days but because of training classes and inventories, I had two days were I really could not plan because I had no clue as to where I was going to be for lunch and what I was going to have access to.

Day One: I had training that was alleged including lunch. However, training ended early and lunch was not served. So I had to go back to my office with no food!

The old me would have probably run through Wendy's or SubWay but instead, I went to Stop and Stop. I grabbed one of those salad kits, lite dressing, lite bread, and a pre-made sandwich. I tossed the roll from the sandwich and all of the gross non-legal packets that are included in a salad kit. Measured out my dressing - old school style (regular teaspoon instead of a Thin's In measuring spoon) and put the sandwich guts on my lite bread! Very filling and super Program friendly!

Day Two: I volunteered to do inventory for our collateral at the warehouses. It was an all day project that started in our storage room and included two warehouse locations.

Thankfully lunch was served at the main office (where the storage room is). However, due to COVID, no more salad bar. Instead, a grab-and-go style lunch with your choice of pre-made sandwich plus an apple or an orange was set out.

With choices of roast beef, PB&J, or ham, I went with a ham sandwich and an orange. I can honestly say, I have never seen thicker slices of bread in my life! I ate half of a slice with my one piece of ham and one piece of cheese. The orange was really juicy though!

As hard as it is to make good choices, especially when sitting in a cafeteria with people watching while you pick apart a sandwich, we each have the power to succeed!

STAY HEALTHY!
