Foodaholic's Anonymous - Week 4

Updated: May 19, 2020

Ughhhhh... my name is Victoria and I am seriously a Foodaholic. Word to the wise - DO NOT save your breads and have them all (plus your extra) as pasta. Especially not the night before weigh-in!

Yesterday, I thought it would be a good idea to do just that. I had my one piece of light bread at breakfast and I skipped having a bread at lunch so I could have SEVEN and a half ounces of pasta for dinner. UGHHHHHH. I felt (and still feel) so gross and bloated. The other downside of that much pasta is that 4 oz of sauce does not cover that much pasta. You know you are a true foodaholic when plain, dry, sauce-less pasta does not stop you from eating it.

Aside from a bad - yet legal - decision yesterday; my week was good. No more headaches and I no longer feel like I need to always be within five feet of a toilet.

On a weird note: I have slept more this week than I have in years. To stop myself from craving food or eating more post dinner, I have been going to bed between 7 PM and 8 PM every day. I try to watch a movie so I am not going to sleep that early but no mater what I decide to watch, I never seem to finish the movie. I either need to eat dinner later or save something to have as a snack so I am not sleeping 10 to 12 hours a night.

Being in a time of social distancing does not help either. No more late night karaoke sessions nor going out to meet with friends because everything is closed. So what else is there to do when you have down time? One can only read so much in a day.

On the bright side of this sleep-filled and carb-loaded week - I am down two pounds!! 5 pounds to lose until I'm at the next round number!

I absolutely LOVE this! For us foodaholics, there are few things more encouraging or comforting to me than to hear about the struggles, setbacks and victories of others like me. Keep it up Victoria, I'm sure you're feeling like just maybe you can do this, and yes you can! Even when you fall off the horse you absolutely can get back up and do it! Dianne is absolutely one of the most energetic and motivating people I have met in my life, I loved hearing your story about her! Good luck to you and keep writing!!!💞💞💞
